“A Film Has To Happen”: Vishal Bhardwaj Opens Up On His Long-Awaited Collaboration With Shah Rukh Khan

Filmmaker says SRK always responds, calls him ‘the greatest charmer of our country’

Renowned filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has worked with some of the finest actors in Indian cinema  from Shahid Kapoor and Tabu to Vidya Balan and the late Irrfan Khan. However, one collaboration that continues to excite cinephiles is the much-talked-about possibility of him working with Shah Rukh Khan.

In a recent interaction with news agency ANI, Vishal Bhardwaj spoke candidly about his conversations with Shah Rukh Khan and why he firmly believes a film between them is inevitable.

“I Talk To Shah Rukh Multiple Times A Year For Stories”

When asked whether Shah Rukh Khan could fit into his cinematic universe, Vishal Bhardwaj responded with conviction.

“I think the collaboration has to happen. I speak to Shah Rukh so many times in a year regarding different stories. He always responds to my messages. He’s a lovely person and the greatest charmer of our country.”

The filmmaker’s words underline not just professional admiration, but also a warm personal rapport between the two.

A Script Shared During O Romeo

Vishal also revealed that he had shared a story with Shah Rukh Khan during the making of his latest film O Romeo.

“Who doesn’t love Shah Rukh Khan? Everyone loves him. There has to be something truly beautiful in him as a person that makes him Shah Rukh Khan. I had sent him a story during O Romeo, and he always says, ‘Yaar, ek film toh honi chahiye jo hum dono saath mein karein.’ Inshallah, is baar woh miracle ho jaaye.”

The statement has reignited hopes among fans eagerly waiting to see SRK in a Vishal Bhardwaj film.
