Actor Aamir Khan has reacted to the strong box office run of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, saying he has been hearing “only praises” about the film while extending his best wishes to the team.

Speaking on the second day of the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, Aamir said he is yet to watch the film but is aware of its growing success and audience response.

“I have not seen the film yet. But I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both the films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team,” he said during an interaction with the media.

According to ANI, the actor was speaking at the festival where the film’s performance and reception were discussed among attendees.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller stars Ranveer Singh in the lead and serves as a sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Arjun Rampal in key roles.

Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has continued to draw strong footfall in theatres, sustaining momentum even into its second week.

Aamir on Sitaare Zameen Par

Aamir also spoke about his film Sitaare Zameen Par being screened at the festival. He expressed happiness at being part of the inaugural edition and said the platform offers a valuable opportunity to connect with audiences.

“It’s a real pleasure that our film is being screened here. We are very happy and proud of the film and what it says,” he noted, referring to the project directed by Prasanna.

The International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, organised by the Delhi Tourism & Transport Development Corporation in association with the Government of Delhi, is a week-long event running from March 25 to 31.

The festival features screenings, discussions and industry interactions across venues in New Delhi, bringing together filmmakers and cinema lovers from across the world.
