Awarapan 2 Release Delayed, But Not Due to Competition

Mukesh Bhatt, producer of Emraan Hashmi's upcoming film Awarapan 2, has clarified that the movie's release date has been shifted to May or June 2026, but it's not because they're scared of clashing with big-ticket releases Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic. In an interview, Bhatt revealed that Emraan Hashmi suffered an accident during filming, requiring surgery, and is now restricted from doing action sequences for 45 days.

The film's remaining 20-day shoot in Malaysia will be completed once Emraan recovers. Awarapan 2 is a sequel to the 2007 cult classic Awarapan, starring Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, and Shabana Azmi. The original film, directed by Mohit Suri, gained a massive following over the years, and fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel.

Mukesh Bhatt emphasized that the delay is solely due to Emraan's injury and not a strategic move to avoid competition. "I'm not scared of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic," he said, dismissing rumors of a box-office clash.

Awarapan 2 promises to be an intense action-romance drama, and fans are excited to see Emraan Hashmi back on screen.
