The Day 1 advance booking battle between Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947 is increasingly tilting in favour of Emraan Hashmi starrer Awarapan 2. The film has witnessed another strong jump in bookings through Wednesday night, further widening the gap with Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947.
As per the latest tracking till Wednesday, 11:30 PM, Awarapan 2 has sold approximately 39,205 tickets across PVR INOX and Cinepolis for its opening day, while Batwara 1947 has recorded around 8,078 tickets across the same national chains.

Batwara 1947, meanwhile, has also improved its numbers steadily — from around 605 tickets at Tuesday 10 AM, to 3,250 tickets by Wednesday 11:15 AM, and now to approximately 8,078 tickets. However, the pace remains considerably behind Awarapan 2.
With the release approaching, Awarapan 2 is now firmly positioned for a strong opening. Based on the current advance booking trajectory, the film is tracking towards a ₹16 crore+ opening, with further growth expected as the final shows open and spot bookings come into play.
Batwara 1947 is currently tracking towards a single-digit opening, although the film still has time to accelerate its advance sales. A stronger jump in bookings over the next few hours will be crucial if it is to narrow the gap with Awarapan 2.
