Bhansali’s “Love & War” Still Has 70 Days of Shoot and Six Grand Songs Left

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic romance “Love & War,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, is still in heavy production. After rolling in November 2024, insiders say the film still needs about 70 days of principal photography to wrap up its ambitious schedule.

A major chunk of that time will be devoted to six lavish song sequences that have yet to be filmed. Bhansali is known for his opulent musical numbers, and these tracks are expected to feature elaborate sets, large‑scale choreography and a full orchestra, adding weeks to the timeline.

The extended shoot has already pushed the release window from late 2025 to mid‑2026, with many sources now targeting an August‑September 2026 theatrical debut. Post‑production, especially heavy VFX for aerial action scenes, will run parallel to the remaining shoot, making the schedule tight but feasible.

Despite the delays, the cast remains fully committed, and no on‑set fallout has been reported. Bhansali’s meticulous approach and the star power of Kapoor, Bhatt and Kaushal keep industry buzz high, suggesting that when “Love & War” finally hits screens, it will be a visually stunning, music‑driven spectacle worth the wait.
