Bhooth Bangla paid previews Advance Booking Report: Likely to close at 30K tickets in national chains; targets ₹3 crore+ start
The advance booking for the paid previews of Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Priyadarshan, has picked up pace in the final hours ahead of its first shows.
As of Thursday 6.30 PM, the film has sold around 27,000 tickets across the top national chains—PVR–INOX and Cinepolis. Trade trends indicate that the film is likely to close at approximately 30,000 tickets in these chains by the time the paid preview shows begin later in the evening.
The movement comes after a relatively slow start to advance bookings earlier in the week. However, the late surge suggests growing traction, particularly in urban markets, as spot bookings begin to contribute closer to showtime.
Based on current trends, Bhooth Bangla is expected to generate ₹3 crore or more from paid previews, providing a steady base ahead of its full-fledged opening day. The improving advance booking pattern also points towards a double-digit start, with early estimates placing the Day 1 business in the range of ₹14–17 crore nett, inclusive of preview collections.
Backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films, and distributed by Pen Movies, the film is releasing across more than 3,200 screens in India. It has been certified U/A 16+ and has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 44 minutes.
The film also features an ensemble cast including Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Jisshu Sengupta and Mithila Palkar.
With the final hours seeing increased activity at the ticket window, the film’s performance over the weekend will depend on how this late momentum translates into on-ground footfalls.
