The romantic action thriller saw a huge drop on Sunday compared to its strong opening day, but the weekend haul remains solid thanks to the momentum from Day 1 collections and premieres.
The $98K Sunday is a sharp fall from the $725K Day 1 that included premieres. The drop indicates that the film was heavily frontloaded, with most of the business coming from Adivi Sesh’s core fanbase and initial curiosity around the Mrunal Thakur pairing. Sunday trends for Telugu films overseas are often soft without strong word-of-mouth, and Dacoit seems to be following that pattern.
