Dacoit Scores Strong $725K Overseas Opening Day, Rakes In ₹6.75 Cr Approx

Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit has kicked off its international run on a solid note. The romantic action thriller collected approximately $725K, roughly ₹6.75 crore, on its overseas opening day. The number includes premieres and Day 1 gross from key markets like North America, UAE-GCC, UK, and Australia.

The $725K start builds on the momentum from its $352K North America premieres. With full-day shows added across territories, Dacoit saw strong traction in the USA and Canada, while UAE and Australia also chipped in healthy figures. The Day 1 haul signals growing overseas acceptance for Adivi Sesh, who has steadily expanded his international base after Major and HIT 2.

Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit stars Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, with Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj in pivotal parts. The film’s blend of gritty action and emotional drama seems to have connected with diaspora audiences. Trade reports cite positive walk-ins and good spot bookings through Friday, indicating word-of-mouth could aid the weekend hold.

At approx $725K / ₹6.75 cr, Dacoit registers one of the best overseas Day 1 openings for Adivi Sesh. The strong start gives it a platform to target a $1.5M+ extended weekend internationally. With no major Telugu competition this week, the film has a clear runway to maximize its global run.
