DDPD2 Sunday Morning Occupancy Update – Slow Start Again, but Strong Advances Hold Promise
De De Pyaar De 2 opened its Sunday with 13 to 15 percent occupancy in morning shows. The start is better than Day 1 and Day 2, but ideally the film should have come close to a 20 percent opening today, considering the weekend push.
Here is a quick look at the occupancy trend:
| Day | Morning | Noon | Night | Overall |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1 (Friday) | 7-8% | 9-10% | 25-26% | 15% |
| Day 2 (Saturday) | 9-10% | 13-15% | 35-37% | 20% |
| Day 3 (Sunday) | 13-15% | 14% |
The positive sign is that afternoon and evening shows are carrying strong advances, which should lift the overall occupancy as the day progresses. The late evening and night shows will give a clearer picture of where the Sunday total will land.
With the film already collecting around more than 23 crore net in the first two days, the weekend trend remains steady. As we mentioned earlier, the movie is on track for a 35+ crore weekend, provided the growth continues through the second half of the day.
