The new arrival makes Deepika and Ranveer parents of two. Their first child, daughter Dua Padukone Singh, was born on September 8, 2024. With the arrival of her younger sister, Dua has now officially stepped into the role of big sister.

The temple visit came shortly before the couple made their official announcement, adding an emotional moment to their journey towards welcoming their second child.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in November 2018 after working together in films including Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. They welcomed their first child, Dua, nearly six years after their wedding.
