EXCLUSIVE: Dhurandhar 2 Advance Bookings Open March 7; National Chains Introduce “Super Blockbuster Plus” Ticket Pricing
The highly anticipated Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is gearing up for its grand theatrical release on Eid 2026 (March 19). The film has already generated massive buzz, with overseas advance bookings opening earlier this week to a roaring response.
Now, the focus shifts to the domestic market, where advance bookings are set to begin March 7 across national chains and major multiplexes. Ticket sales will go live shortly after the launch of the film’s theatrical trailer, which is scheduled to drop tomorrow. The advance sales will initially begin with a provisional censor certificate while the final certification process is completed.
Given the extraordinary hype and massive demand surrounding the film, national cinema chains are introducing a special ticket pricing category called “Super Blockbuster Plus.” Traditionally, big tentpole releases receive “Blockbuster” or “Super Blockbuster” pricing, which is 10–25% higher than regular ticket rates. With Dhurandhar 2 reportedly having a runtime close to four hours, higher pricing also helps theatres manage limited show capacity.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is easily among the most awaited Indian films of 2026. Unlike the original film, the sequel will release in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, expanding its reach beyond the Hindi-speaking markets.
Based on the current buzz, strong advance trends, and massive anticipation, the film is expected to open at ₹80 crore+ on its first day in India, potentially making it one of the biggest openings in Indian cinema history.
