Dhurandhar IMAX, 2K & 4K content delay update non IMAX version may play on release morning final clarity expected tonight. 

Dhurandhar is all set to hit cinemas on December 5 i.e. Tommorow and the expectations is sky high. Fans were especially looking forward to experiencing the film in IMAX because of its massive scale and grand visual appeal. But now, there is an important update from the exhibition side that may affect your first day IMAX plans.

According to our exclusive sources, the IMAX content delivery for Dhurandhar has faced unexpected delays. The first part of the IMAX file has already reached multiple cinemas, but the second part of the content, which is required to run the complete IMAX version is still pending. Without this, theatres cannot begin IMAX shows. The content team has informed exhibitors that a final update will be communicated around 11 to 11:30 PM tonight, after which cinemas will know whether they can start IMAX screenings from Friday morning or if they need to wait for later in the day.

This issue is not limited to IMAX alone. As per insiders from the exhibition industry, even the 2K and 4K formats of Dhurandhar are arriving in parts. Theatres have received only the first portion of these files as well and are still waiting for the crucial second part needed to run the movie smoothly across formats. The delivery teams are working round the clock to close the process, but cinemas have been instructed to stay prepared for delays in Imax formats on release morning.

If the remaining content lands on time, theatres may be able to start premium shows by Friday 2nd Half, but the safer estimation points to Saturday for full-format availability. As of now, non IMAX shows are expected to run normally while premium screens wait for the complete content pack.
