Exclusive : Golmaal 5 BIG Update: Tripti Dimri to Romance Ajay Devgn? Sharman Joshi Returns as Rohit Shetty Turns Franchise into Fantasy Comedy

Rohit Shetty is all set to take his iconic Golmaal franchise to the next level with its fifth installment, and this time, the madness gets a fantasy twist. Headlined by Ajay Devgn, Golmaal 5 will reportedly be a fantasy-comedy, featuring a female villain—a first for the franchise.

According to a report by DNA, the upcoming film will reunite the beloved original gang that audiences have cherished for nearly two decades. Ajay Devgn returns as Gopal, alongside Arshad Warsi (Madhav), Tusshar Kapoor (Lucky), Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemmu (Laxman). Adding to the nostalgia factor, Sharman Joshi, who was part of the original Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), is also set to make a comeback, completing the full squad.

Fantasy Twist & Female Villain

An insider told PTI that Golmaal 5 will blend slapstick comedy with fantasy elements, marking a new creative direction for the franchise.

“The fifth part is going to be a fantasy comedy. All the main guys including Ajay, Arshad, Tusshar, Shreyas, Kunal are coming back and even Sharman will be joining them this time. Johnny Lever, Ashwini Kaleskar, Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra and others will also be part of the film,” the source revealed.

The insider further added that the main antagonist will be a woman, a character written specifically to bring a fresh dynamic to the story. The makers are also casting another quirky gangster-style comic character.

Tripti Dimri to Join the Golmaal Universe?

Sources indicate that Tripti Dimri is in discussions to star opposite Ajay Devgn, marking her entry into the Golmaal universe. If finalized, this would be her first collaboration with Rohit Shetty and a major commercial milestone in her career.

What About Kareena & Sara?

Recent reports also suggest that Kareena Kapoor Khan, who appeared in Golmaal Returns and Golmaal 3, could return to the franchise. Kareena has previously worked with Rohit Shetty in Singham Returns and Singham Again. Additionally, buzz suggests that Sara Ali Khan, who collaborated with Shetty in Simmba (2018), may also make her Golmaal debut.

With a fantasy angle, a female villain, the return of the original gang, and exciting new additions, Golmaal 5 is shaping up to be the most ambitious installment of the franchise yet.
