From India's Highest Paid Child Actor to Dhurandhar Heroine Sara Arjun Steps Into Spotlight

Sara Arjun entered the world of acting very early in her life. She started modelling and appearing in advertisements at only 18 months old. As a toddler she worked in ads for LIC McDonalds and Maggi. By the time she turned five she had already been part of more than one hundred commercials. She made her film debut at the age of six and went on to work in Hindi Tamil and Telugu cinema as a well known child artist.

Sara celebrated her 20th birthday in June while Ranveer Singh turned 40 in July. At the trailer launch of Dhurandhar Ranveer praised Saras dedication and compared her to Hollywood actor Dakota Fanning. He called her a prodigy and said she earned the role after standing out from thousands of actors who auditioned for the part.

Sara Arjun became widely known for her role in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. She played the younger version of Aishwarya Rais character Nandini in both parts of the film. Reports claimed that she received ten crore rupees for her performance which made her the highest paid child actor in India.

Sara belongs to a film family. Her father Raj Arjun is a respected actor who has worked in several Hindi Tamil and Telugu movies. His powerful role in Aamir Khans Secret Superstar is considered one of his best performances. Saras mother Sanya Arjun is a dance teacher.
