Golmaal 5 Inspired by a Treasure Hunt Like Pirates of the Caribbean?

The upcoming installment of the popular comedy franchise, Golmaal 5, is already generating excitement among fans. While the makers have kept the storyline under wraps, sources close to the project suggest that the film may explore a treasure hunt–based narrative, something that could bring a fresh twist to the long-running series.

According to industry sources, the story of Golmaal 5 may revolve around a hidden treasure and a chaotic quest to find it, with the iconic gang getting entangled in a series of hilarious misadventures. The concept is said to carry shades of classic adventure stories, with comparisons being drawn to the treasure-hunting themes seen in films like Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

If these reports turn out to be accurate, the film could blend adventure and comedy, something that would mark a slight shift from the earlier installments of the franchise which were primarily situational comedies. The treasure hunt angle could open the door to larger sets, unusual locations, and a storyline driven by mystery and discovery.

The Golmaal series, directed by Rohit Shetty, has been one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchises. Beginning with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006, the franchise went on to deliver several box-office hits, including Golmaal Again, which became one of the biggest Hindi blockbusters of 2017.

With Golmaal 5, the makers are expected to retain the franchise’s signature humor while possibly adding a treasure-hunt adventure layer to the narrative. Such a premise could provide plenty of opportunities for comic chaos as the characters chase clues, secrets, and perhaps even pirates-style legends tied to a hidden fortune.

Although the makers have not officially confirmed the storyline yet, the idea of a treasure hunt-driven comedy adventure will certainly start building curiosity among fans. If the reports are true, Golmaal 5 could deliver a new flavour to the beloved franchise while keeping its trademark madness intact.
