Mirzapur The Movie Final Advance Booking: 1.06 Lakh Tickets Sold In National Chains, Ali Fazal-Pankaj Tripathi Starrer Eyes ₹25 Crore+ Opening

Mirzapur: The Movie is heading into its theatrical release on a strong note at the box office. The much-awaited Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu starrer has crossed the 1 lakh-ticket mark in national chains, setting the stage for a solid opening day.

As of 9 PM on Thursday, the film has sold around 1,06,000 tickets across PVR INOX and Cinepolis for Day 1. With several hours of sales still left before the final count, the advance booking is expected to close in the range of 1.20 lakh to 1.25 lakh tickets.

Mirzapur The Movie Crosses 1 Lakh Tickets In National Chains

The advance booking trend for Mirzapur The Movie has remained consistently strong since opening. The film has now comfortably crossed the six-figure mark in the two leading national chains, reflecting the strength of the Mirzapur franchise and its massive fan base.

The current pace indicates that the final national-chain advance could settle around 1.20–1.25 lakh tickets, putting the film in a very healthy position before its first show.

The film's advance is also being compared with Awarapan 2, with Mirzapur currently expected to finish slightly ahead in overall advance sales.

₹23 Crore Opening Looks Well Within Reach

At the current pace, Mirzapur The Movie is comfortably tracking towards a ₹23 crore-plus opening day at the Indian box office.

The film's overall advance is estimated at around ₹7 crore nett, with the final number potentially moving slightly higher depending on morning sales. The Hindi belt, particularly Delhi-UP and other key circuits, is showing encouraging advance trends.

The Janmashtami holiday is another major advantage for the film, particularly in Gujarat, where the festival period traditionally provides a boost to theatrical business. This could help Mirzapur convert its strong advance into an even bigger opening-day number.

Can Mirzapur The Movie Touch ₹25 Crore?

While ₹23 crore nett-plus appears to be a strong possibility, the bigger target is now the ₹25 crore mark.

The film has the advantage of a highly established IP, a recognisable ensemble led by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu, and a massive audience base built through the successful streaming series.

However, the theatrical film is also being positioned as a fresh chapter rather than simply continuing the previous storyline, which makes audience response after release especially important.

At this stage, the film has a very good shot at ₹25 crore nett, provided the advance momentum translates into strong spot bookings and occupancy on Friday.

Mirzapur vs Hanuman Ansh: Different Audiences

Interestingly, Hanuman Ansh continues its remarkable theatrical run alongside Mirzapur. However, the audience profiles of the two films are considerably different.

While Hanuman Ansh is driven by devotional audiences and strong word of mouth, Mirzapur The Movie is primarily powered by its established franchise following and the popularity of characters such as Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Munna Tripathi.

As a result, the strong run of Hanuman Ansh is unlikely to significantly restrict Mirzapur's opening potential.

Final Advance Booking Outlook

With 1.06 lakh tickets already sold by 9 PM, Mirzapur The Movie is now racing towards a projected 1.20–1.25 lakh final advance in PVR INOX and Cinepolis.

The film is therefore entering cinemas with a solid advance foundation and is currently on course for ₹23 crore+ on Day 1, while ₹25 crore nett remains a realistic upside target.

The real test begins Friday morning  but as far as advance booking is concerned, Mirzapur The Movie has delivered a strong final push.
