‘Ramayana’ Teaser Sparks Frenzy: Nitesh Tiwari Calls It a Seven-Year Journey as Massive Crowds Mark Grand Launch

A day after the teaser launch of Ramayana Part 1, the buzz around the film continues to soar, following an overwhelming response at PVR Palladium in Lower Parel where massive crowds had gathered as early as 8:30 AM. The turnout clearly reflected the immense anticipation surrounding one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects.

Director Nitesh Tiwari, visibly emotional at the event, spoke about the long and challenging journey behind the film. “It has taken me seven years to reach this moment. Filmmaking is a speculative and lonely process. In these years, I often wondered about this moment and how audiences would react. Today, seeing this response, those seven years feel truly worth it,” he said, as the audience erupted in applause following the teaser screening.

The teaser offered a glimpse into the expansive and visually rich world of Ramayana, showcasing key moments from the epic  from Lord Ram lifting the bow at the swayamvar to his exile  hinting at the film’s emotional depth and grand storytelling.

Producer Namit Malhotra highlighted the scale of the project, revealing that the film is the result of the efforts of a global workforce of over 10,000 people. “We have teams from Canada, the UK, Australia, Europe, and across India working tirelessly to bring this vision to life,” he shared, underlining the massive international collaboration behind the film.

The teaser concludes with a striking glimpse of Yash as Ravana, seen walking towards his grand Pushpak Vimana  adding intrigue and setting the stage for an epic face-off.

With such an electrifying response, Ramayana is already shaping up to be a landmark cinematic event, promising scale, emotion, and storytelling on an unprecedented level.
