EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan to Begin Raj & DK’s Superhero Film from October 2026

Salman Khan is all set to step into the superhero genre for the first time with a film helmed by Raj & DK, best known for The Family Man. The much-anticipated project is scheduled to go on floors in October 2026.

The film, described as a high-concept action entertainer, is being produced by Atul Agnihotri, with discussions underway with Mythri Movie Makers to come on board as the studio partner.

Pre-Production in Full Swing

As earlier reported by Pinkvilla, the project is currently in the pre-production stage, with the team focusing on locking the film’s scale, visual design, and technical aspects. The makers are aiming to create a big-budget spectacle tailored for a global audience, with extensive pre-visualisation work underway before filming begins.

Female Lead Yet to Be Finalised

Amid speculation, especially around Samantha Ruth Prabhu, sources have clarified that she is not part of the film. The casting for the female lead is still in progress and is expected to be finalised in the coming months.

A Landmark Collaboration

This project marks Salman Khan’s first full-fledged superhero venture, making it one of the most exciting films currently in development. The collaboration between Salman Khan and Raj & DK has already generated massive buzz across the industry.

Other Projects

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is also shooting for an untitled action film directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film, presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, stars Nayanthara as the female lead and is slated for a grand Eid 2027 release.

With production expected to begin later next year, the film is shaping up to be a major addition to Salman Khan’s filmography.
