Shah Rukh Khan's "King" Already Roaring Past 50K BookMyShow Interests 11 Months Before Release
The buzz around Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action-thriller King is heating up fast. Over 50,000 users have already shown interest on BookMyShow, a full 11 months ahead of its projected 2026 premiere, signaling a hype train comparable to SRK's 2023 blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film brings together a powerhouse cast: SRK in the titular role, his daughter Suhana Khan making her theatrical debut, Deepika Padukone in a full-length role (her sixth collaboration with SRK), and Abhishek Bachchan playing the main antagonist. The ensemble cast also includes Arshad Warsi in pivotal supporting role.
The film's production began in May 2025 in Mumbai and Warsaw, with a massive jail action sequence involving 200 stunt performers. The screenplay is a joint effort by Anand, Sujoy Ghosh, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya. The budget is estimated at ₹300 crore, making it one of the expensive Indian films.
