Given the current trend, it now looks impossible for Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat to beat that lifetime record. Their start is significantly lower and while both films are expected to hold well over the extended Diwali period, surpassing last year’s total is out of reach.

The positive buzz around Thamma, the universe connection of the Maddock brand and the energetic youth appeal of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat give both films a strong chance to sustain well over the next few days. With a six-day extended Diwali weekend, both movies can show excellent growth if the positive word of mouth continues to build.
