The film's day wise trend, four straight declines including a first Saturday that fell below Friday, is now the story trade watchers are focused on, not the opening day record.
Unless the second weekend brings a real and sustained reversal, Toxic risks becoming a case study in a spectacular opening that could not convert into a sustained run, the exact opposite outcome its Day 1 numbers had promised.
