Toxic Day 4 Box Office: Morning Occupancy Report & Early Trends

Toxic opened with 17 percent occupancy today on Day 4 Saturday in Hindi circuit as per early morning shows report. This is morning occupancy for 9 am to 12 pm shows. Friday morning occupancy was 10 percent, so there is growth of 7 percent from yesterday. But this growth is considered limited for a Saturday. For a big film like Toxic, Saturday morning should have been 30 percent plus. Single screens occupancy is 22 percent and multiplex occupancy is 14 percent in morning. So overall 17 percent average is below expectations for Day 4 Saturday morning.

Showing Limited Growth From Yesterday Friday Collection

Showing limited growth from yesterday Friday collection as per occupancy trend. Friday film collected 20 crore with Rakshabandhan benefit and 10 percent morning occupancy. Now Saturday morning is 17 percent, so jump is only 7 percent. Usually Saturday should show 50 to 60 percent jump from Friday morning. Here jump is only 70 percent in occupancy but not huge in terms of numbers. The Rakshabandhan holiday already gave extra push on Friday, so Saturday growth is looking limited. Evening shows need to show 60 percent occupancy to get big total today. As of now trend shows limited growth only.

As Per Morning Occupancy Trend Movie Will Collect 23-24 Crore Today

As per morning occupancy trend movie will collect 23-24 crore today on Day 4 Saturday. Trade calculation says if morning is 17 percent, afternoon goes to 35 percent and evening goes to 55 percent, then Day 4 total will be 23-24 crore. This is early prediction based on BookMyShow ticket sales and morning occupancy report. Yesterday film collected 20 crore, so 23-24 crore would be 15 to 20 percent growth only. This is decent growth but not big Saturday jump. If occupancy improves to 70 percent in night shows, then collection can go to 26-27 crore also. But current trend suggests 23-24 crore only.

All Depends On Throughout Day Occupancy Trend On Saturday

All depends on throughout day occupancy trend on Saturday for Toxic final collection. Morning occupancy was 17 percent but afternoon shows at 2 pm will decide final total. If afternoon occupancy jumps to 40 percent plus, then 25 crore plus is possible. If afternoon remains at 30 percent, then 23 crore only. Evening and night shows are crucial as families come after weekend work. Multiplex occupancy needs to improve to 45 percent in evening. Single screens already showing better at 35 percent in afternoon advance booking. So throughout day occupancy trend will decide if film crosses 24 crore or stays at 22 crore today.

Toxic Is Underperformer Because Its Huge Film And Expectations Were Huge

Toxic is underperformer because its huge film and expectations were huge but collection is not up to the mark as of now. Film made with 300 crore plus budget and Yash stardom, expectations were Day 1 70 crore and weekend 200 crore Hindi. But as of now collection is Day 1 54 crore, Day 2 22 crore, Day 3 20 crore, total 96 crore in three days. Day 4 23-24 crore expected, so four days total will be 119-120 crore only. This is decent trend but not enough for film to get HIT status. For HIT, film needs 300 crore lifetime Hindi. With this pace, 200 crore also looks difficult. Collection showing decent trend but not enough to recover huge budget.
