Yash Unveils Toxic Trailer on Birthday, March 19 Set for Mega Clash With Dhurandhar 2

Toxic trailer drops on January 8 as Yash celebrates his birthday. The pan-India film releases on March 19, locking a major box office clash with the highly anticipated Dhurandhar 2.

Yash is ready to set the internet on fire once again. The much-awaited trailer of his upcoming film Toxic A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will be unveiled on January 8, 2026, marking the superstar’s 40th birthday. Releasing major updates on special occasions has become a signature Yash move, and this time too, he is making sure his fans get a memorable gift.

The excitement around Toxic is already massive, and the trailer announcement has only taken the buzz to another level. The film itself is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, perfectly timed with the Ugadi festival, making it a prime holiday release across India.

From Naveen Kumar Gowda to Pan-India icon Yash, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Rising from humble beginnings in Karnataka, Yash became a household name with the KGF franchise. His portrayal of Rocky Bhai turned him into a phenomenon, with KGF Chapter 2 smashing records and collecting over 1200 crore worldwide. Today, Yash commands audiences across Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and beyond.

With Toxic, Yash is stepping into new territory. He is not just the lead actor but also a co-producer and co-writer, collaborating closely with acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas. Known for her bold and unconventional storytelling, she brings a very different sensibility to this large-scale project.

Toxic is far from a typical gangster drama. Set in Goa between the 1940s and 1970s, the film explores a dark and dangerous world shaped by power, crime, and betrayal. Against the vibrant backdrop of beaches and shifting cultures, a ruthless drug empire rises in the shadows. The story promises intense action blended with a mature, fairy-tale-like narrative meant for grown-up audiences.
The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast. Nayanthara plays Ganga, Kiara Advani appears as Nadia, Tara Sutaria essays Rebecca, and Huma Qureshi is seen as Elizabeth. Rukmini Vasanth, Tovino Thomas, Akshay Oberoi, and several international actors including Natalie Burn and Kyle Paul add further depth to the lineup. The presence of strong female characters has already caught the attention of fans.

Production for Toxic began in August 2024 and has been mounted on a massive scale. A 20-acre set was built in Bengaluru to recreate vintage Goa. Action sequences were shot in Thoothukudi, while song sequences were filmed in Jaipur. More than 1000 crew members and hundreds of actors and extras were involved, underlining the sheer size of the project.

The technical team behind the film is equally impressive. Rajeev Ravi’s cinematography is expected to give the film a gritty and textured visual style. Ravi Basrur returns after KGF to handle the music, raising expectations sky-high. Hollywood action director JJ Perry, known for the John Wick films, has choreographed the action, while DNEG is handling the visual effects, promising a truly global cinematic experience.

Toxic will release in six languages including Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, clearly aiming for a nationwide and international audience.

Adding to the excitement is the confirmed box office clash. Toxic was the first film to announce its March 19 release date, but Dhurandhar 2 has now officially locked the same date. While Toxic carries massive anticipation, the hype around Dhurandhar 2 is currently on another level altogether. With both big films arriving together, this clash is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most talked-about box office battles in the history of Indian cinema.

With the trailer set to drop on January 8, expectations are sky-high. Fans are eager to witness Yash’s new avatar and get a glimpse of the film’s intense action and rich world-building. Toxic is not just another release, it is shaping up to be a cinematic event. All eyes are now on the trailer, and March 19 could redefine the scale of Indian gangster films.
