“Absolute Nonsense”: Kiara Advani Shuts Down Rumours About Cutting Bold Scenes in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups
Kiara Advani has strongly dismissed recent rumours claiming she asked the makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups to tone down her intimate scenes with co-star Yash. Reacting to the reports, the actress called them “absolute nonsense.”
The speculation began after several media outlets suggested that Kiara, who recently embraced motherhood, had approached Yash and director Geetu Mohandas to reduce certain bold sequences in the film after viewing the final cut.
However, Kiara wasted no time in setting the record straight. She took to her Instagram Stories to reshare one such article and responded with a sharp, one-line reaction: “Absolute nonsense!”-making it clear that there is no truth to the claims.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups Release Update
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film was initially scheduled for release on June 4, 2026, but has now been postponed.
Addressing the delay, Yash shared a note explaining the decision. Reflecting on the film’s journey and reception, he stated that Toxic is a project that reignited his love for cinema and received an overwhelming response during its presentation at CinemaCon.
He further confirmed that while the film is complete, the team is currently working on global distribution and partnerships, which has led to a shift in the release timeline. The film will now arrive in theatres worldwide on a later, globally aligned date.
