Box Office Day 1 Early Estimates: A quiet Friday at the box office as Mastiii 4 and 120 Bahadur open low and DDPD2 stays ahead with good hold.

Mastiii 4, 120 Bahadur & De De Pyaar De 2: Day 1 Box Office Early Estimates- A quiet Friday at the box office as Mastiii 4 and 120 Bahadur open low and DDPD2 stays ahead with good hold.

This Friday brings three new releases and one Hold over to the box office Mastiii 4, 120 Bahadur and Gustaakh Ishq. All eyes are on how these films open after a quiet advance booking period. Alongside them the holdover De De Pyaar De 2 continues its run and is once again expected to lead the day.

  • Mastiii 4- 3 Crore
  • 120 Bahadur- 2 Crore
  • DDPD2- 3.2 Crore

Mastiii 4 Day 1 Early Estimate

Mastiii 4 was tracking for a weak start till last night with advances suggesting an opening of not more than 2 crore. However mass circuits came in stronger than expected with good spot bookings through the day.
As per early estimates Mastiii 4 is heading for an opening of around 3.2 crore. This movie has its own target audience and if those viewers along with mass centres turn up in good numbers the film can score an average to decent weekend. Otherwise its verdict at the box office will depend completely on Monday numbers.

120 Bahadur Day 1 Early Estimate

120 Bahadur received a positive response from its paid previews but that early appreciation has not translated into a strong opening day. The film is looking to land in the 2.0 crore range on Friday which will be the lowest among the three films releasing this week.
The genre and low pre release buzz are the major reasons for the quiet start. A jump on Saturday is important but based on current trends it looks difficult. The film will need strong word of mouth to survive the weekend.

De De Pyaar De 2 Day 1 of Second Week

De De Pyaar De 2 remains the most stable film in theatres and continues to outperform the new releases. The film released last week on around four thousand screens and now stands at about fifteen hundred screens due to new arrivals.
Even with the reduced presence DDPD2 is leading the box office race. Early estimates suggest a second Friday number of around 3.2 crore driven by good reception in urban centres especially the Delhi NCR belt. The holdover advantage and steady word of mouth are helping the film stay ahead.

Weekend Projection

The first day numbers for all three movies are modest and the weekend will depend on word of mouth. Mastiii 4 has managed to surprise slightly due to mass support while 120 Bahadur is struggling to find a start. De De Pyaar De 2 continues to be the top performer and is likely to dominate the weekend again.
