Dharma Productions, Sikhya Entertainment announce ‘Udta Teer’ with Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan; to release on Sept 11, 2026

Production banners Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment have announced their next collaboration, Udta Teer, a spy-comedy starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan. The film is slated for a theatrical release on September 11, 2026.

The project marks the fourth collaboration between the two production houses, following films like Kill, Gyaarah Gyaarah, and the critically acclaimed The Lunchbox. With Udta Teer, the makers are venturing into the spy-comedy space — a genre that blends action with humour and has seen growing interest among audiences in recent years.

The film will be directed by Akash A. Kaushik, who makes his directorial debut with this project. Kaushik, known for his writing work in Bollywood, steps behind the camera for the first time with what is expected to be a fast-paced, mainstream entertainer.

Backing the film is a strong production lineup that includes Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain.

While details of the plot and supporting cast remain under wraps, the combination of Ayushmann Khurrana’s comic timing and Sara Ali Khan’s screen presence is expected to add to the film’s appeal. The announcement has already generated early buzz, given the track record of the banners involved.
