Dinesh Vijan Unveils Big Expansion Maddock Films Plans Seven New Movies In Five Years

Maddock Films is stepping into its most ambitious phase yet. After building one of Indias most loved horror comedy universes with films like Stree Bhediya Munjya and the upcoming Thamma the studio is now preparing to take the franchise to a much bigger scale. Producer Dinesh Vijan has officially confirmed that seven new movies are lined up for the next five years marking a strong push toward a long term cinematic universe strategy.

The horror comedy universe that began with Stree in 2018 has slowly grown into a fan favourite world of its own. Now Maddock Films is ready to expand this universe with new stories inspired by Indian legends culture and folklore. Each film will connect to the larger Maddock Horror Comedy Universe while still offering a fresh experience for new viewers.

A Five Year Roadmap Seven Movies And A Larger Universe

At a recent event Vijan shared the studios long term vision. He confirmed that a slate of seven new horror comedy films is already in development and will release over the next half decade. According to him cinematic universes work best when audiences do not feel exhausted so Maddock plans to release its films at the right pace.

Vijan believes that the studios success comes from rooted and relatable storytelling. In a time when many big budget films are struggling Maddock continues to connect with viewers by focusing on unique stories instead of predictable formulas.

He also mentioned that todays real competition is not other filmmakers but the smartphone. With audiences consuming short videos and quick entertainment Maddock aims to shape its stories so they can travel across theatres OTT and mobile platforms with equal ease.

AI Will Transform Cinema

Vijan spoke about the rapid rise of artificial intelligence calling it one of the biggest shifts the industry will see. He believes that realistic visual effects and affordable technology powered by AI will change the way films are made in the next two years. With easier access to high quality tools he expects more creators to join the race for audience attention.

Upcoming Releases Under Maddock Films

One of Maddocks most awaited films is Ikkis directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. Starring Agastya Nanda with Dharmendra in a key role Vijan describes it as one of the studios most emotional and powerful projects.
