Kajol Sparks Debate with Bold Take: “Marriages Should Come with an Expiry Date”
Kajol has stirred conversations with her candid opinion during her chat show Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle. The actress suggested that marriages should come with an expiry date and an option for renewal, adding a modern twist to the age-old institution.
The topic arose during the show’s This or That segment, when Twinkle Khanna asked, “Should marriage have an expiry date and a renewal option?” Twinkle quickly brushed off the idea, saying with her trademark humor, “No, it’s marriage, not a washing machine.”
Kajol, however, took a different stance. Married to actor Ajay Devgn, she said, “I definitely think so. What guarantees that you’ll marry the right person at the right time? A renewal option would make sense — and if there’s an expiry date, no one has to suffer for too long.”
Her statement has since gone viral, sparking debate among fans and social media users about love, compatibility, and the evolving definition of marriage in modern times.
