The film’s release on May 1, coinciding with Maharashtra Day, is expected to further aid its performance, offering a three-day extended opening weekend in its key market.
At present, the Marathi version is driving the bulk of advance sales, while bookings for the Hindi version are yet to commence in full across the country.
Directed and headlined by Riteish Deshmukh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the film also features Genelia Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, Bhagyashree, Sachin Khedekar, Amole Gupte and Jitendra Joshi in key roles.
