Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 Creates Booking Storm – 1 Lakh 20 Thousands Tickets Sold in Just 24 Hours

Dhurandhar The Revenge – Paid Previews Advance Booking Report : 1.2 Lakh Tickets Sold in National Chains

The advance booking for Dhurandhar – The Revenge continues to create history at the box office. After an extraordinary start yesterday, the film has now crossed a massive 1.2 lakh tickets sold in paid preview shows across the national multiplex chains PVR INOX and Cinepolis within just a little over 24 hours.

The response has been nothing short of phenomenal. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that these bookings are only for paid previews, with shows beginning after 5 PM, unlike most films that open advance bookings for the entire day. Despite the limited window, the film has recorded one of the fastest ticket sales seen in recent times.

In fact, the film is now among the biggest first 24-hour advance booking performers in PIC national chains, standing just behind Jawan and ahead of several blockbuster titles.

First 24 Hours Advance Bookings at PIC National Chains of top 10 Movies:

  • Jawan - 155K
  • Dhurandhar2 - 120K
  • Pathaan - 117K
  • Pushpa2TheRule - 95K
  • Tiger3 - 65K
  • Animal - 52.5K
  • Dunki - 42K
  • Stree2 - 41K
  • Saiyaara - 32K
  • Chhaava - 27K

Early trends indicate that Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi–NCR are leading the charge with exceptional demand. The southern centres have shown terrific momentum, while the key Hindi market metros are also witnessing rapid bookings and strong audience curiosity.

In fact, if the film had opened full-day advance bookings instead of only paid previews, industry estimates suggest that Dhurandhar – The Revenge could have comfortably crossed the ₹100 crore mark on Day 1 from the Hindi belt alone. Even with the current release pattern, trade projections indicate a massive ₹80 crore opening day potential from the Hindi market.

The full advance bookings for regular shows are expected to open from Wednesday, after the makers evaluate the response to these premium-priced paid previews. With the current pace, the paid preview capacity alone is estimated to have a potential of around ₹45 crore nett, which is a huge number for limited shows.

Given the restricted sales window, bookings may slow slightly until the full advances open, but even then the paid preview collections are expected to reach ₹25–30 crore nett, making it one of the biggest preview performances ever.

Adding to the scale, Dhurandhar – The Revenge is a massive 3 hours 55 minutes long and is set to release on around 6000 screens. Due to unprecedented demand, several multiplexes in major metro cities are planning 24-hour screenings during the opening weekend to handle capacity issues.

The hysteria surrounding the film is simply unreal. The excitement among audiences is at another level and the film is shaping up to be a once-in-a-decade box office event. If the momentum sustains after release, the film has the potential to set new long-run benchmarks, with early expectations suggesting a ₹1500 crore lifetime from the Hindi market alone, and possibly even higher depending on its theatrical run.
