Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, Starring Ranveer Singh, Cleared by CBFC With ‘A’ Certificate; Certified Runtime Revealed

Aditya Dhar’s much-awaited action-thriller Dhurandhar, headlined by Ranveer Singh in one of his most intense and career-defining roles, has officially been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The Mumbai regional office has granted the film an ‘A’ certificate, with the certification dated 2nd December 2025.

As per the censor document, Dhurandhar carries a certified runtime of 214.1 minutes, positioning it as a large-scale, expansive action drama. The film is produced by B62 Studios Private Limited in collaboration with Jio Studios, with B62 Studios also listed as the applicant.

A High-Stakes Action Epic Led by Ranveer Singh

The CBFC plot summary reveals a gripping narrative rooted in real incidents following the IC-814 hijacking (1999) and the Parliament attack (2001). At the center of this high-voltage mission drama is Ranveer Singh, who plays Ajay Sanyal, the Intelligence Bureau Chief tasked with orchestrating one of India’s boldest covert operations.

Singh’s character embarks on an audacious mission to infiltrate a sprawling terrorist network headquartered in Pakistan. The operation pushes him deep into the criminal syndicate of Karachi’s underworld, where danger lurks at every turn. Known for physically transformative and emotionally charged performances, Ranveer is expected to deliver one of his most layered portrayals yet  blending authority, vulnerability, and raw intensity.

The narrative intensifies further when Sanyal discovers a 20-year-old boy from Punjab, held captive by Pakistan-based operatives in a revenge-driven plot. This emotional strand is likely to add depth to the film’s action-heavy storytelling and provide Ranveer Singh ample scope for dramatic impact.

Aditya Dhar Returns With a Massive, Gritty Vision

Following the phenomenal success of Uri: The Surgical Strike, director Aditya Dhar brings back his signature blend of action realism, military precision, and high emotional stakes. The ‘A’ certificate suggests that Dhurandhar will feature gritty combat sequences, strong thematic elements, and intense moments of espionage warfare  all of which will rely heavily on Ranveer Singh’s powerhouse screen presence.

The film is further supported by a strong ensemble cast, portraying intelligence officers, cross-border operatives, and key antagonists who form the fabric of the espionage narrative.

Rising Buzz Ahead of Release

The certification arrives at a time when Dhurandhar is witnessing a strong surge in buzz, particularly driven by Ranveer Singh’s commanding look from the film and the anticipation surrounding his collaboration with Aditya Dhar. Early industry chatter suggests a large-scale, emotionally charged action spectacle that could become a standout release of the year.

With its runtime, certificate, and intense plot now officially confirmed, Dhurandhar is firmly positioned to ignite audience interest as it heads toward release.
