Border 2- Day 2 Box Office Estimates: Solid Growth On Box Office

Border 2- Day 2 Box Office Estimates: Solid Growth On Saturday

Border 2 continues to show strong momentum at the box office, building further on its solid start. As per CineInfinity’s tracking, the film has registered around 20% growth pan-India on Day 2, which is a very healthy trend for a big-scale, emotion-driven film.

Occupancy levels have improved noticeably as the day progressed. Evening and night shows have performed exceptionally well, especially in mass-dominated centres. Select centres are recording 75–80% occupancy during evening and night shows, while several single screens in interior markets have reported packed houses and multiple sold-out shows. A few pockets are performing much better than initial expectations, giving an extra push to overall collections.

Based on current trends and reports from across circuits, Border 2 is now heading towards a ₹37.5–38.5 crore net collection on Day 2. There is still upside potential and the final number could go higher depending on late-night show performance, which remains strong in many areas.

Our experts believe that Border 2 had the potential for an even bigger opening, possibly around the ₹45–50 crore mark, if the film’s assets and content delivery had not been underwhelming. The underwhelming asset and VFX impacted on Day 1, which limited the opening-day potential.

Despite that, the film has recovered very well, driven by strong word of mouth and positive audience response. The overall business remains very healthy and the ground-level buzz continues to grow with each passing show.

With no major competition currently running in cinemas, along with strong reviews and emotional appeal, Border 2 is well positioned for a big weekend. Sunday and the Republic Day holiday are expected to further boost collections and help the film post a strong extended weekend total.

From a long-term perspective, Tuesday’s collection will be the key indicator of where Border 2 finally lands. A solid hold on Tuesday will clearly define the film’s long-term box office trajectory. Overall, Border 2 is doing very good business at the box office. Despite a slightly lower opening, the film has found its rhythm and is now firmly set for a strong extended weekend and a successful theatrical run.
