Dhurandhar The Revenge Advance Booking EXPLODES: 31,564 Tickets Sold in Just Hours, PVRINOX Alone Crosses 21,966 by 1:45 PM

The box office storm has officially begun. Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar The Revenge” has taken a thunderous start at the advance booking window in India, with ticket sales exploding within just a few hours of opening.

Advance bookings for the highly anticipated action spectacle opened earlier today, and the response has been nothing short of phenomenal. Within the first few hours, the film has already sold 31,564 tickets nationwide, generating over ₹1.25 crore nett in early pre-sales.

What makes the numbers even more impressive is the dominance of the national multiplex chain PVRINOX.

As of 1:45 PM, PVRINOX alone has sold a massive 21,966 tickets, contributing the bulk of the early momentum. This explosive start clearly signals massive audience excitement for Ranveer Singh’s return as the ruthless Hamza.

Another key factor behind the incredible start is the timing. The advance bookings have opened a staggering twelve days before release, which is highly unusual for Bollywood films that typically open advances just three to five days prior to release. Despite the early window, the demand has already reached blockbuster levels.

Currently, bookings are available only for the paid preview shows scheduled on March 18, and that too in limited capacity across major national chains such as PVRINOX, Cinepolis and Moviemax. More theatres are expected to open bookings as the day progresses, which could push the numbers significantly higher.

The showcasing strategy for the preview day is also massive. In multiplexes with two to four screens, the film is already scheduled to play exclusively in the final two shows of the day. Larger multiplexes with six to ten screens have allocated the majority of their screens to the film as well, leaving only minimal space for competing releases.

As the release date approaches, even those remaining screens could shift to “Dhurandhar The Revenge,” further boosting the capacity for preview screenings.

Another unique factor is the film’s nearly four-hour runtime, meaning each show will last approximately 4.5 to 5 hours including intervals and turnaround time. Because of this, the second show in many cinemas will begin around 10 PM or later. While late-night shows could face occupancy challenges in smaller markets, metros are expected to run at near-full capacity, especially for the first preview shows.

Given the massive showcasing and the blistering early sales momentum, industry estimates suggest that the paid previews alone could generate ₹15–20 crore nett, with the potential to go even higher if the pace continues.

For context, the current record for the biggest preview day in India belongs to “Stree 2,” which collected ₹8 crore nett from its preview shows. If the present trend continues, “Dhurandhar The Revenge” could comfortably shatter that record.

With explosive advance bookings, massive screen allocation and sky-high buzz surrounding the trailer, “Dhurandhar The Revenge” is shaping up to be one of the biggest box office events of 2026.

More updates on pre-sales will follow as the day progresses.
