Mardaani 3 Controversy: Yash Raj Films Denies Using Missing Persons Data for Promotion.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) has strongly denied allegations that its promotional campaign for Mardaani 3 sensationalized Delhi's missing persons cases. The controversy arose after Delhi Police reported 807 missing persons between January 1 and 15, sparking panic and speculation that the data was being used to promote the film.

In a statement, a YRF spokesperson emphasized the company's 50-year commitment to ethics and transparency, saying, "We strongly deny the accusations floating on social media that Mardaani 3's promotional campaign has deliberately sensationalized a sensitive issue like this." The spokesperson expressed trust in authorities to share facts and truths in due course.

Delhi Police had flagged the issue, stating that the hype around missing girls was being pushed through "paid promotion" and warning against creating panic for monetary gains. The police clarified that there was no increase in missing persons cases compared to previous years.

Mardaani 3, starring Rani Mukerji, explores child trafficking and has earned ₹26 crore in its first week. The film's makers maintain their innocence, and authorities are investigating the source of the paid amplification.
