Rani Mukerji to return as fearless cop in Mardaani 3, pays powerful tribute to India’s Police Force on Police Day 2025

Rani Mukerji is all set to reprise her iconic role as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3, backed by Yash Raj Films. As she prepares to step into the uniform once again, the actress shared a heartfelt message on Indian Police Day 2025, honouring the courage and dedication of the nation’s police force.

Speaking about the selfless service of the Indian Police, Rani expressed deep gratitude, saying that it’s a privilege to salute their efforts through her Mardaani franchise. “Across the country, countless cops protect people, risk their lives, and give up personal moments to keep us safe. Their commitment to the nation is beyond words,” she said.

Rani further added that behind every uniform is a human being who chooses duty over comfort and service over self. “We must remember that every officer is also someone’s family-  A son, daughter, husband, wife or parent, who still puts the country first. Their courage and humanity deserve our utmost respect,” she shared.

Reflecting on the inspiration she draws from them, Rani said that the lives of police officers have taught her to live with fearlessness and purpose. “They leave their homes not knowing what lies ahead, yet they face every danger head-on. Their courage is unmatched, their sacrifices endless. Through Mardaani, I am proud to celebrate their spirit,” she said.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 marks the return of one of Hindi cinema’s most powerful female-led franchises. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 27, 2026.
