Suniel Shetty Gets Emotional About Son Ahaan’s Tough Phase After Failed Debut, Calls Border 2 A Turning Point
Suniel Shetty recently spoke from the heart while talking about his son Ahaan Shetty and the difficult phase that followed his first film. The actor became emotional at the Border 2 song launch and shared how tough life became for Ahaan after his debut film Tadap failed to make an impact at the box office.
Ahaan entered Bollywood in 2021 with Tadap, but the film did not bring the success everyone expected. Suniel revealed that after the film, there was a silent phase in his sons career. During that time, the entire family went through emotional stress and uncertainty.
Suniel addressed the common belief that star kids have an easy journey. He explained that being the son of a famous actor does not protect someone from failure or pain. According to him, many people assumed Ahaan would immediately get multiple films, but reality was very different. He shared that Ahaan struggled a lot during that period and had to face challenges that were not visible to the outside world.
As a father, watching his son deal with disappointment was extremely painful for Suniel. However, he also felt it was a test of strength, patience and belief for Ahaan. Suniel said that difficult times teach the most important lessons in life.
The actor expressed deep gratitude to Border 2 producers Nidhi Dutta and JP Dutta for trusting Ahaan at such a crucial stage. He called the film a blessing and said there could not have been a better opportunity for his son. Suniel hopes that Ahaan has given his best and that the film succeeds for everyone involved.
Suniel also spoke about the values he always tried to pass on to his son. He said he only advised Ahaan to work honestly and give his heart to whatever he does. That belief, according to him, helped Ahaan stay strong during tough times.
The veteran actor went on to praise Nidhi Dutta, calling her like family and appreciating the emotional support she showed during their difficult phase. He said he feels deeply grateful and indebted to the people who stood by Ahaan when it mattered the most.
Calling Border 2 a turning point, Suniel said that giving Ahaan a role in such a big film was a huge decision and one he would always be thankful for. He also thanked director JP Dutta for believing in both father and son.
Border 2 features Ahaan Shetty alongside Sunny Deol,Varun Dhawan.and DiljitDosanjh. The film is scheduled to release on January 23 this year and is being seen as a major moment in Ahaans career.
