Ustaad Bhagat Singh's US Premiere Sales: A Slow Start

Ustaad Bhagat Singh's US Premiere Sales: A Slow Start

Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh has made a relatively slow start in the US, with $182,641 in advance sales from 404 locations, 1,037 shows, and 7,914 tickets sold. The total North America premiere advances stand at $200K, which is considered underwhelming given Pawan Kalyan's stature.

The film's advance booking trend has raised concerns, with only four days left for the premiere. Trade observers note that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is facing tough competition from Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, which is generating strong buzz in overseas markets.

For context, Pawan Kalyan's previous film, They Call Him OG, had recorded a massive $1.9 million in US premiere pre-sales, making Ustaad Bhagat Singh's current numbers look sluggish. To put things into perspective, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is currently at barely 8% of They Call Him OG's premiere sales.

The film's break-even target is set at around $2.3M – $2.4M in North America, and with the current trend, it needs significant jumps in the next few days to meet this target.
