CBFC clears Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Rakul Preet Singh’s De De Pyaar De 2 with zero cuts. Film gets U/A 13+ certificate, releasing November 14.

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC clears De De Pyaar De 2 without a single cut. Film gets U/A 13+ certificate, releasing on November 14.

Here comes some cheerful news for Ajay Devgn fans and movie lovers. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared De De Pyaar De 2 with zero cuts. Yes, you read that right — not even a single visual or dialogue has been altered.

The CBFC is often known for suggesting edits or removing certain scenes they find inappropriate. Even clean entertainers usually face some level of modification before release. But De De Pyaar De 2 has turned out to be a rare exception.

According to sources, the Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan and Rakul Preet Singh starrer has been passed exactly as submitted. The film has been given a U/A 13 plus certificate and the certification process was completed on November 6. The total runtime stands at 147 minutes and 10 seconds, which means the film is 2 hours and 27 minutes long. The much-awaited romantic comedy is all set to hit theatres on November 14.

The first De De Pyaar De, released in 2019, had faced a few cuts from the board, including a scene where Rakul Preet Singh’s character was shown holding a bottle of alcohol, which was later replaced. This time, the makers seem to have delivered a clean, family-friendly sequel that has smoothly passed through the certification stage.

Interestingly, De De Pyaar De 2 becomes the second film this month to be cleared without any cuts. Earlier, Haq starring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam also received a U/A 13 plus certificate with no changes. That film, based on the Shah Bano case, is known for its sensitive subject and yet managed to get a smooth clearance. Haq has a runtime of 136 minutes and was certified on October 28 before releasing in theatres on November 7.

With both Haq and De De Pyaar De 2 passing uncut, November is turning out to be a positive month for filmmakers, marking a shift towards greater creative trust from the CBFC.

De De Pyaar De 2 is an important film not just for the exhibitors but also for the actors involved. Here’s hoping the movie entertains audiences and enjoys a strong run at the box office.
