Govinda Fears Family Rift Amid Controversy, Says Wife Sunita Is Worried About Their Future
Veteran Bollywood star Govinda, once regarded as one of the finest actors of his era, has finally spoken out after his wife Sunita Ahuja made headlines with her recent remarks about their marriage. The actor expressed deep concern over his family situation and claimed that external forces are trying to create distance between him and his loved ones.
Speaking to ANI, Govinda said that he feels his personal life is being targeted deliberately. He revealed that he was warned long ago that his family could be dragged into controversies and that he might be isolated socially because of it. According to him, the situation unfolding today feels exactly like that warning coming true.
Govinda shared that Sunita is extremely worried about how the household will function as several of his film projects failed to find proper release opportunities. He admitted that he himself stepped away from many films, which affected his professional journey. This phase has created stress at home, especially for his wife, who is anxious about stability and the future.
The Hero No 1 actor also opened up about the emotional toll of fame. He said that when a person becomes too popular, it often makes others uncomfortable, sometimes even people one would never expect. He recalled seeing similar situations happen to senior actors in the past and said he never imagined facing the same.
Addressing the ongoing tension involving his nephew Krushna Abhishek, Govinda stated that he has clearly asked Krushna to be mindful of his image while performing comedy. Speaking to ANI, the actor said he felt that jokes made at his expense were damaging his reputation. He added that Sunita often got upset with him over this issue, but he believes protecting his dignity is important after spending decades in the film industry.
Govinda further said that he does not want to bring disgrace to the world of cinema that gave him everything. However, he believes being alert is necessary, especially now that he has entered politics by joining Shiv Sena. He claimed that ever since his political move, conspiracies against him have increased. He made it clear that he should not be seen as weak and that people should remember his contribution to Indian cinema before passing judgments. Govinda concluded by saying that his only prayer is for the well being of his children and the safety of his family.
