Love And War's Grand Ambition: Budget Soars to ₹425 Crore with Extended Shoot

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic romance, Love And War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt, has just got bigger and more expensive. The film's shooting schedule has been extended by 50 days, pushing the production cost to a staggering ₹425 crore. Initially, the makers planned to wrap up the film in 120 days, but Bhansali's perfectionism has led to repeated delays.

The team has already completed 175 days of shooting, but there's still a long way to go. Three songs and a major dramatic sequence are pending, including the visually ambitious war sequences that have taken longer than expected. Bhansali's attention to detail is evident in every frame, but it's coming at a cost.

With the extended shoot, the film's release date has been pushed to August or September 2026, or possibly even January 2027. The makers are prioritizing quality over speed, ensuring that Love And War meets Bhansali's high creative standards. The delay is also strategic, avoiding a box office clash with Yash's Toxic.
