Raajneeti 2: Prakash Jha's Epic Sequel is in making

More than a decade after the original, Prakash Jha's Raajneeti 2 is finally in the works, with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif set to reprise their roles. The filmmaker recently confirmed that the sequel is inspired by Indian epics, particularly the Mahabharata, just like the original.

Jha revealed that he's been working on the script, drawing from themes and characters of the Mahabharata, blending them with contemporary politics. The original film, released in 2010, was a critical and commercial success, featuring an ensemble cast, including Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, and Arjun Rampal.

While casting details are yet to be finalized, fans are eager to see the return of Kapoor and Kaif on the big screen. Kaif's comeback would mark her first film since Merry Christmas (2024), and Kapoor is currently busy with projects like Love & War and Ramayana.
