Should Raid 3 Really Happen? Here's Why Fans Are Unsure

Rumours of Ajay Devgn reportedly agreeing to take forward Raid 3 have stirred debate instead of enthusiasm. Instead of celebrating the announcement, a large section of the audience is questioning whether the franchise truly needs another film. The skepticism is growing, and here’s why.

1. “Yaar, how many sequels will Ajay keep doing?”

Ajay Devgn has been hopping from one franchise film to another, Drishyam 2, Singham Again, De De Pyaar De 2, Raid 2, and now possibly Raid 3.
Fans love him, but even they feel it’s getting repetitive. They want something fresh, not another addition to the sequel factory.

2. Raid 2 didn’t hit the same way the first one did

The original Raid was sharp, gripping and unforgettable.
Raid 2 wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t leave the same impact. Many people found it slower, less intense, and not as tightly written.
So when the previous film didn’t fully live up to the hype, the excitement for a third part naturally drops.

3. Fans don’t want the franchise dragged just for the sake of it

People are tired of Bollywood milking every successful film until the brand loses all charm.
They don’t want Raid, a film that started with so much authenticity, to turn into a stretched, predictable franchise where every new part feels weaker than the last.

4. Fans want Ajay in big, grand, large-scale films

This is the biggest reason the backlash feels so strong.
Ajay Devgn has the aura and intensity to lead massive, blockbuster-style films, the kind that feel like an event in theatres.
After Tanhaji and even some parts of Bholaa, fans know he can command huge cinematic spectacles.
Instead of another grounded, procedural raid story, they want him in larger-than-life, powerful, visual-heavy films.
So when rumours of Raid 3 pop up, it feels like a step back from the scale fans expect from him now.

5. It just feels… too safe

Audiences can tell when a film is being made out of passion and when it’s simply because the name guarantees money.
Right now, Raid 3 feels like a safe, predictable choice, not a creative one.
So, should Raid 3 be made?
Only if it comes with a genuinely strong story.
If it’s the same “raid on a corrupt neta” template again, fans will check out even before the trailer drops.

At the end of the day, fans aren’t against Ajay Devgn. They just feel he deserves bigger, grander, more cinematic films, not another sequel that feels like more of the same.

Final Word

The scepticism around Raid 3 is not a reflection of disinterest in Ajay Devgn. On the contrary, viewers believe he is capable of much more ambitious cinema. They want him in larger, striking, scale-driven films not another predictable sequel that revisits familiar territory.

The choice now rests with the filmmakers:
➡️ Play safe with formula or
➡️ Push forward with innovation and purpose.

Only the latter will justify a third chapter.
