Avatar Fire and Ash Day 7 Early Estimates: Collects Rs 13 Crore 75 Lakh Nett on Christmas Day

Avatar Fire and Ash Day 7 early estimates show a Christmas Day nett collection of around Rs 13.75 crore in India. The film stands at Rs 131 crore gross after one week, holding steady despite Dhurandhar competition.

James Cameron’s Avatar Fire and Ash has wrapped up its first week at the Indian box office with a gross collection of around Rs 131 crore. The film saw a noticeable jump on Christmas Day, benefiting from the holiday, but the numbers are still below initial expectations for a franchise of this scale.

On Day 7, Christmas Day, the film is estimated to have collected around Rs 17.50 crore gross. In nett terms, the estimated collection stands at approximately Rs 13.75 crore. While this is a decent holiday jump, the overall performance remains softer than expected for one of the most awaited Hollywood releases in India.

The opening weekend contributed a strong Rs 78 crore gross, helping the total cross the Rs 125 crore mark within the first week. These figures are reported without including 3D charges, which is the standard practice in India. With 3D pricing added, the total gross would comfortably be above Rs 150 crore.

Compared to Avatar The Way of Water, this film opened on a lower note. However, the weekday hold has been reasonably stable. The film continues to attract urban audiences, especially in premium multiplexes, where occupancy remains steady.

That said, the impact of Dhurandhar is clearly visible. The strong wave of the Indian release has dented Avatar Fire and Ash collections, limiting its growth despite the holiday period. Even on Christmas Day, the numbers stayed lower than what trade had expected.

Advance bookings for tomorrow are decent, and all eyes are now on the second weekend performance. With an extended holiday period and steady multiplex support, the film is expected to cross Rs 200 crore gross in the coming days.

In the long run, Avatar Fire and Ash has the potential to reach around Rs 250 crore in India if it continues to hold at a slow but consistent pace. While the final total may fall short of the massive expectations associated with a James Cameron film, it is still shaping up as a solid theatrical run for a Hollywood release in the Indian market.
