Allu Sirish Says ‘Dhurandhar’ Missed a Big Opportunity Without a Telugu Dub

Actor Allu Sirish believes Dhurandhar could have reached a much wider audience if it had been released in Telugu as well. According to him, not dubbing big Hindi films into regional languages often limits their potential in markets like the South.

Speaking to Variety, Sirish said that Hindi film studios should start thinking more seriously about releasing their films in multiple languages. With audiences across South India becoming more open to Hindi films, he feels there is a clear opportunity being missed.

He also pointed to the success of Animal, which was released in several languages and managed to connect with audiences across the country.

Talking about this, Sirish said:

“Hindi film studios should consider dubbing their big releases into regional languages. Audiences in the South are increasingly open to watching Hindi films, but many producers still don’t prioritise dubbing. Films like Animal showed how releasing in multiple languages can expand reach. Not having a Telugu dub for Dhurandhar felt like a huge missed opportunity.”

The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, has generated significant buzz across the country. Sirish believes that with a Telugu version, the film could have tapped into an even larger audience base.
